Medical Device-Computer Systems

An important variety of specialized nursing information systems are a medical device-Computer Systems (MDCS).Currently, one of the areas of information medicine is a computerized medical device. Using a computer in conjunction with the measurement and control equipment in medical practice has created new and effective means to provide automated collection of information about the patient's condition and its treatment in real time and manage her condition.

This process led to the creation of MPCS, which raised to a qualitatively new level of instrumental methods of investigation and intensive care. MPCS relate to health information systems baseline. The main difference between this class of systems - work in direct contact with the object of study in real time. They are complex hardware and software systems. To work MPCS addition of computer technology, requires special medical devices, equipment, TV technician, communications.

Typical representatives of MPCS are medical monitoring of patients, for example, when performing complex operations of the computer analysis of data tomography, ultrasound, radiography, computer-aided analysis of microbiological and virological investigations, analysis of cells and tissues. In MPCS, there are three main components: medical, hardware and software. With regard to the MPCS medical care includes ways to implement the selected range of health problems to be solved in accordance with the possibilities of hardware and software systems.

To ensure the health kits include the methods used, the measured physiological parameters and methods of measurement, methods and permissible limits of exposure to the patient.Under the hardware to understand how to implement the technical part of the system including means for obtaining biomedical information, means of implementation of therapeutic effects and computer equipment.Go to the software include mathematical methods for processing biomedical information, algorithms, and the actual programs that implement the operation of the system.
